Job description

Work Shift: Primarily responsible for providing professional emergency treatment in the pre-hospital setting. Primarily treats and transports the sick or injured. Responsible for carrying out the mission, vision and quality commitment of Houston Healthcare. Qualifications: A. Education & Training: High School graduate or GED equivalent. Completion of a vocational training program as a Paramedic. B. Experience: Six (6) months experience. C. Required Certification/Registration/Licensure: Current Georgia Paramedic certification. Valid Georgia driver’s license. Current AHA/ARC BLS certification. Current AHA ACLS/ARC ALS certification. AHA/ARC PALS certification or within 9 months of hire. CPT training within 9 months of hire. FAST-ED stroke scale or obtained within three (3) months of hire. D. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Have the physical ability to perform the job as determined by a physical agility performance evaluation. Have the ability to communicate both orally and in writing in English and to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
