Position Function: Performs construction, repairs and maintenance duties as needed by the university, including operating heavy equipment and machinery. Salary Grade : HEO-1: Please see Staff Compensation Structure or Skilled Crafts and Service Maintenance Compensation Schedule for salary ranges. For salary grade UC, these positions are "Unclassified" and salary ranges are determined by the hiring department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Construct, erect, install, repair, or demolish structures, components, or fixtures associated with streets, parking areas, sidewalks, drainage, or buildings, by using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment. 2. Operate various moving equipment such as bulldozer, motor grader, scraper, backhoe, tractor, truck, etc., to prepare roads, building sites, drainage ditches, and other miscellaneous sites. 3. Fabricate and install forms for poured-in-place materials. Pour and finish concrete. Loads and transports materials from one location to another. 4. Operate a diamond drill press and jackhammer to drill holes in concrete and other structures for utility access. 5. May perform routine welding and other mechanical shop duties in support...
