Criteria Based Job Description Job Title: Advanced Practice Provider- Ortho Reports to: Orthopaedic Program Manager Job Code: 800723; 800727(per diem) Approved by: Orthopaedic Program Manager Department: Orthopaedics Approval Date: November 2018; Update January 2023; May 2023 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program. Experience: No experience required. Licensure/ Registration/ Certification: Licensed as a Physician Assistant by the State of Minnesota. Physician Assistant Certification required OR Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the State of MN. Current Nurse Practitioner Certification required. BLS or ACLS certification required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, with peers, students and other health care personnel. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to manage multiple simultaneous tasks and prioritize appropriately. Ability to document patient notes and orders using EPIC.
