Team PASsage is a backend engineering team within Vanguard’s Portfolio Construction product sub-family in Advice Investment Management organization, building and modernizing platforms that drive advice eligibility & portfolio rebalancing at enterprise scale. The team focuses on Java & NodeJs based apps deployed on AWS ECS & Lambda, complex business logic, large‑scale integrations & data platforms like DynamoDB & Redshift. It’s a great opportunity for developers who enjoy deep backend work, system design, and building resilient platforms that directly impact millions of investors. Core Responsibilities: Provides intermediate level system analysis, design, development, and implementation of applications and databases. Integrates third party products. Translates technical specifications into code for moderately complex new or enhancement projects for internal clients. Writes programs, develops code, tests artifacts, and produces reports. Employs software development techniques to ensure tests are implemented in a way that support automation. Elevates code into the development, test, and production environments on schedule.
