Press Assistant The Press Assistant will ensure that the correct amount, quantity, item, and quality standards are being produced, and on the job training is available. This position reports to the shift Production Supervisor and will also take direction from the Press Operator, Senior Operator, or Card Press Lead. This position could report to any productions department. This role could report to 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift. Responsibilities: Assist the Press Operator to meet production, quality and safety goals. Inspect materials and products for defects, and to ensure conformance to specifications. Assist the Press Operator to perform product changeovers and prepare components for the following run. Keep machine and surrounding area clean and tidy. Tend Rolls: - Support Corporate Programs such as 5S, ISO, SMED, Preventive Maintenance, Sustainability, and GMP. - Follow all safety rules and guidelines, including reporting unsafe or unexpected conditions. Any other tasks as assigned: Required Knowledge and Skills: Ability to read, understand, and follow schedule, written instructions, and job ticket requirements.
