Market America | SHOP.COM , a product brokerage and Internet marketing company that specializes in One-to-One Marketing, is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller. Position Summary: The Assistant Controller will perform daily, monthly, and quarterly accounting functions for corporate and branch locations. Mandarin Language Skills Preferred. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Prepares monthly consolidated financial package for executive management. - Performs month end closing procedures and analyzes balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy. - Monitors cash balances and reconciles bank accounts to ensure sufficient accounts levels. - Participates in supervision of personnel to meet expectations. - Prepares and assists external accountants to ensure accuracy and timeliness of governmental filings. - Directs communication with foreign branch locations to continue daily and monthly operations. - Provides input for process improvement to increase efficient operations. - Complies with company policies and procedures. - Works on specific projects and issues as such needs arise Supervisory Responsibilities: - Directs the work of others.
