Main function and scope: We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer with proven experience in the design, calculation and validation of mechanical systems subjected to shock, vibration and extreme loads. The successful candidate will join a project focused on the development of high-precision sensors and robotic systems, with the objective of reaching TRL9 in an extremely demanding operating environment and severe operating conditions. Core functions: · Mechanical design of the system and its subassemblies. · Define structural solutions, materials, joints, encapsulation, isolation and protection strategies. · Perform structural and thermal calculations and simulations, dynamic analyses, and shock and vibration simulations. · Analyse stresses, deformations, natural modes and vibration transmission. · Evaluate thermal dissipation, mechanical stability and system behaviour in demanding environments. · Develop modal analyses and assess design margins. · D...
