Assistant Research Scientist - Iowa Neuropathology Resource Laboratory - ( 26002951 ) Description The Department of Pathology is seeking an Assistant Research Scientist who will be responsible for the procurement, preparation, and disbursement of human post-mortem brain tissue for the NIH NeuroBioBank contract, supervises associated staff members, manages all aspects of the workflow for the histologic workup of donated cases, and maintains inventory and the database for donor cases. Hours will be Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm. This position is 100% time. Duties to include: · Performs and supervises procurement, processing, and disbursement of human post-mortem brain tissue · Supervises and manages technical personnel associated with NeuroBioBank contract and INRL · Oversees completion of all deliverables for the NeuroBioBank contract · Assist with other tasks as directed by the INRL Director For a full job description, please send an e-mail to the contact listed below.
