SUMMARY: As a Sterile Processing Tech, your exceptional sterilization and processing abilities provide staff with the equipment they need to perform safe and successful procedures. Job Title: Sterile Processing Tech: Department: Nursing - Operating Room: Location: Newark-Wayne Community Hospital Hours Per Week: 40 hrs Schedule: Rotating as needed ATTRIBUTES: Qualifies through one of the following: - Credentialed: Successfully passed a nationally accredited central service exam and holds and maintains one of the following credentials: - Certified Registered Central Service Technician credential - Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician credential - Hard to Fill Clause: A healthcare facility may employ or otherwise contract with a person who does not meet the requirements of the function of a Sterile Processing Technician if they are unable to employ or contract a sufficient number of qualified Sterile Processing Technicians - Grand-fathering Clause: Must provide evidence of employment or contract services as a Central Service Technician in a healthcare facility for a cumulative period of one year, occurring between 1/1/2011 – 1/1/2015 - Strong attention to detail wi...
