Job description

Purpose and Scope: The Heavy Vehicle Mechanic o perates , repairs, maintains , and function tests heavy power construction equipment such as compressors, pumps, hoists, shovels, trucks, tractors, graders, bulldozers, front-end loaders, scrapers, motor graders, skid steers , backhoe , dump trucks and various flightline support vehicles and associated equipment. Essential Responsibilities: - Conducts Mobile M aintenance duties. Replace and repair hydraulic lines, pneumatic equipment, air conditioning systems, wheels/tires, wipers, and light bulbs . - Perform heavy equipment maintenance activities including installation, repair, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance. - Disassemble and reassemble engines and mechanical units to inspect and diagnose parts using computerized test equipment, calibration devices, gauges, etc. - Replace and r ebuild hydraulic cylinders, valves, planetary drive units, suspensions, springs, bushings, and kingpins, seals, and bearings. - Perform operator care such washing , vacuuming, and cleaning. - Performs routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking oil, water, and tires. - Ensures proper care and maintenance of equipm...
