BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Database Administrator with deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) database services and familiarity with IBM Db2 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows (DB2 LUW) . This fully remote role offers the opportunity to work on mission-critical health insurance systems in a dynamic, collaborative environment. You will be responsible for designing, securing, automating, and maintaining cloud-native database platforms on GCP, while supporting other database systems (DB2 LUW) and supporting modernization and cloud migration initiatives. Our ideal candidate will have: - Extensive GCP Database Experience: Proven expertise in designing, deploying, and managing databases on Google Cloud Platform (using services such as BigQuery or Cloud SQL) in large-scale production environments. - Cloud-Native Architecture & Performance Tuning: Experience building highly available, scalable database solutions on GCP and optimizing their performance (query tuning, indexing, capacity planning) to support complex healthcare applications. - Database Security & Compliance: Strong knowledge of cloud database security best practices (acc...
