Job Summary: The Machine Shop Coordinator is responsible for providing technical support to manufacturing so that parts are provided per specifications and in a timely manner. In the absence of a Machine Shop Supervisor will provide work direction to department employees. Job Responsibilities & Essential Functions of the Job: - Set up; program and operate CNC machine centers. - In the absence of a Machine Shop Supervisor; organize shop orders for work centers in shop order number sequence; use computer to print out dispatch reports for various work centers; place shop orders in date order per Dispatch Report, while also grouping similar work plans together wherever possible; distribute work orders to shop employees to various machining centers; attempt to expedite rush jobs through shop in a timely manner. - Train other machinists on various machines. - Address questions of machine operators regarding tooling, procedures, fixture, and print clarification, contact design engineers and project leaders to resolve questions or conflicts on blueprints; make suggestions to improve efficiency in machining parts. - Conducts and participates in specified training for department employees on...
