DC Operations Manager in Training

Job description

Responsible for assisting the DC manager in directing the day to day operations of a single distribution center. Assist in the direction of operations and communicate extensively with the distribution center manager on all matters pertaining to the operation of DC. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Assist the DC manager to oversee all aspects of a single distribution center, including the service, physical assets, operating costs, and team members. Assist in ensuring day to day that the DC is compliant with company operations, policies and procedures. Assist the DC manager to maintain payroll, budgeting, inventory integrity, productivity, etc. Provide training, guidance, and counseling as needed to each DC team member. Responsible for the management of a staff of 1-15 supervisors, and up to 300 hourly team members. Provide excellent leadership throughout the DC and work to ensure productivity and morale are maintained at a high level. Work with the DC manager to establish annual goals and the plan to follow for accomplishing these goals.
