As a Lyon County laborer , you will assist the construction, maintenance and repair of roads and bridges. Must be safety minded willing and capable of working in extreme weather conditions and is labor intensive. This position will involve occasionally responding to call-outs (potentially at all hours) during nights and weekends. Other duties as assigned. Non-exempt position with a solid base pay $18.00/hr. and benefits including, paid time off (accounts credited at 10 hours vacation and 8 hours sick per month worked), vendor discounts, health, dental and vision insurance and much more! PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: - Experience in road construction desired. - Knowledge of relevant equipment, machines and tools, including their uses, repair and maintenance is desired.
