Job Description: The Senior Multimedia Producer acts as a key contributor in the creation and production of video content for digital, streaming, and social media platforms on Boston Globe Media’s network of platforms. This person will help manage all phases of production from pre-to-post of short-form and long-form video, with a strong emphasis on vertical video formats.This Producer manages story development with reporters and producers and works strategically with the video director to develop projects and essential news stories for video, filmed on-location or in-house. The producer will be part of a cross-functioning multimedia team that will work with a variety of departments. This innovative visual journalist will be able to produce a wide range of videos, including breaking news, enterprise, and feature stories. They will be expected to assess, execute and iterate on multiple videos a week for Globe platforms. The job requires a self-starter who can multi-task and manage in a fast-paced newsroom with tight deadlines.
