Title: Assistant Medical Athletic Trainer Status: Full-Time: FLSA : Exempt: Reports To: Director of Athletics / Director of Sports Medicine Job Purpose: To provide injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation services while supporting the Sports Medicine Department to ensure the health and safety of student-athletes. Duties and Responsibilities: Qualifications: Work Experience: 1–2 years Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred Certifications/Licensure: Certification by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification (NATABOC) and licensure in the State of New York - Assist the Sports Medicine Department as needed, serving as a liaison between Wagner Athletics and team orthopedic surgeons and referring injured student-athletes to appropriate physicians when necessary - Coordinate and provide medical supervision for assigned athletic teams, including practices, games, and events - Organize and submit secondary insurance claims for injuries sustained during intercollegiate competition - Provide comprehensive prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries - Assist in maintaining comprehensive, accur...
