Job description

Department Overview The purpose of this position is to provide support to OHSU outpatient pharmacy specialty services and the Knight Cancer medical/surgical oncology pharmacy program. Responsibilities include prescription prior authorization and approval, prescription dispensing, medication histories, patient outreach and medication assistance. The individual is required to have extensive knowledge of third-party processing, EpicCare and Epic Willow. This position will primarily work on VPV floors 3-7 but may be asked to work in an OHSU outpatient pharmacy when other team members are on leave. Relief employees must be available to work at least four (4) days per pay period as determined according to the department needs Function/Duties of Position: - Assists in all technical support activities relating to prior authorization requests and approvals. - In-charge of obtaining medication history of admitted patients age 65 and older and comprehensive understanding of medication reconciliation process. - Supports OHSU outpatient pharmacy program through activities such as prescription dispensing, patient outreach, specialty pharmacy enrollment, and refill reminders. - Provides medicatio...
