Assistant Swim Team Coach Department: Center Staff: Employment Type: Part Time: Location: Charles River YMCA: Compensation: $18.50 - $22.50 / hour Description: Under the supervision of the Head Swim Coach, this position is assists with swim team practices and swim meets as needed. Nights and Sundays required. *Must have active Lifeguard Certifications. (ex. YMCA, Red Cross) Key Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/PRINCIPLE ACTIVITIES: - Provide quality and consistency in all assigned workouts throughout all levels of ability. - Attend meets and practices as needed. - Write and implement workouts for each practice as instructed by head coach. - Maintain a professional image and manner consistent with the YMCA mission and goals at all times. - Engage in active listening with members in order to build relationships, understand each individual’s goals and interests and take the initiative to assist in the achievement of those goals. - All other duties as assigned. - At least 18 years of age. - No experience necessary, training to be completed on site.
