Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital is seeking a full time BE/BC Palliative Care. The inpatient Corewell Health Palliative Care team is seeking a compassionate Physician to join them splitting their time equally between providing consults to adult patients who present to the Emergency Department and providing Palliative Care to patients in the inpatient setting. Corewell Health emergency departments experience high volumes of patients with serious illnesses who require complex symptom management and end-of-life care discussions often leading to prolonged ED stays, suboptimal patient experiences, undesired and inappropriate hospital admissions, high cost of care, reduced patient and provider satisfaction and overall reduced quality of care. As a Hospice & Palliative Care physician who partners with the ED you will work with our interdisciplinary team by approaching patients to provide health literacy, ascertain goals and then collaborate to find an appropriate disposition.
