FACULTY EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY: DEPARTMENT OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE: Part-Time Lecturer Pool Position: POSITION AVAILABLE : One or more temporary, part-time lecturers for a pool from which instructors will be considered for appointments as they become available for Fall Semester 2026, and/or Spring Semester 2027. THE DEPARTMENT : The Department of Criminal Justice was established in 1977 and consists of tenured, tenure-track, and lecturer faculty, and offers an undergraduate program leading to the Bachelor of Science degree. The criminal justice major requires students to take lower-division and upper-division core courses, upper-division electives, and courses focusing on the following areas: Crime Prevention, Policing, and Forensics; Corrections, Community-Based Programs, and Youth; Impact of Crime and Victimization; and Justice, Equity, and Diversity. The department also offers a minor in Criminal Justice and a certificate in Crime Scene Investigations. DUTIES OF THE POSITION : Teaching one or more courses in the areas of law enforcement, criminal law, corrections, victimology, and forensic science.
