Job Description: The Verification Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate insurance and demographic data in the NextGen Practice Management System to ensure timely and correct billing. This role verifies patient eligibility for insurance plans as well as grant funding (Substance Use, Mental Health, and others), while promptly communicating changes that may affect coverage, benefits, or patient responsibility. In addition, the Verification Coordinator may assist with related revenue cycle functions such as demographic updates, billing, and payment posting, as directed by leadership. A core focus of this position is patient advocacy—helping patients understand their insurance coverage, out-of-pocket costs, and available financial resources to ensure a transparent and supportive experience.
