Classification Exempt, 10-Month Employee: Reports to: HS Principal: Overview: The HS Associate Dean is responsible for assisting and supporting the HS leaders with implementing the norms of conduct as they relate to the safety, behavior, and discipline of the students. Upholding Systems and Compliance: - Assists in upholding school expectations, clear systems for arrival, lunch, recess and dismissal in collaboration with the HS Principal and the dean team - Supports in student transitions to help the school community travel safely throughout the hallways - Documents and maintains organized databases and up to date student information on attendance, discipline, and records - Meets within the dean-department to discuss school-wide issues, trends, and upcoming events Fostering Positive Student Engagement: - Promotes positive discipline behavior - Aids in the systems that support Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS) and Restorative Practices with fidelity - Ensures a high achievement culture - Follows the guidelines presented in the Dr. Izquierdo Charter Schools Scholar Handbook - Conducts restorative conversations between students who have experienced conflict - Takes...
