CHIEF PERFUSIONIST - ( 917735 ): Description JOB SUMMARY: Reports to the Chief of the Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery. Manages daily operations of the Perfusion Division of the Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery. Strives to maintain a positive and productive working environment to promote collaboration between surgeons, anesthesiologists, and hospital staff to provide outstanding patient health care. Provides guidance in the achievement of long-term goals for the division. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Job Duties: - Operates extracorporeal circulation and autotransfusion equipment during adult cardio-thoracic procedures at UT Southwestern Medical Center and affiliates. - Provides standby support for cath lab procedures at UT Southwestern Medical Center and affiliates. - Operates autotransfusion equipment during liver transplant procedures at Clements University Hospital - Operates ECMO equipment and provides expert support to nursing ECMO specialists at UT Southwestern Medical Center and affiliates. - Operates cardiac assist devices in the operating room setting at UT Southwestern Medical Center and affiliates. - Shares equal on-call duties with all members...
