Job description

Under general supervision, provides direct patient care to children with physical disabilities and/or functional limitations in clinic, inpatient, outpatient and outreach programs. Provides occupational therapy evaluation, consultation and intervention services for assigned routine to complex pediatric patients, in accordance with the CT Children's patient care delivery model and program policies and procedures. Collaborates with children, families, other health care team members and community resources to implement and coordinate a continuous plan of care, and to educate patients and families in appropriate occupational therapy methods. Participates in assigned staff development and research activities. Reports to leadership in the occupational therapy department. CLINICAL CARE: specific populations from infancy through adolescence and applies them to practice. Demonstrates cultural sensitivity in all interactions with patients/families. DOCUMENTATION: Completes required clinical documentation in an organized and timely manner, in accordance with all department standards.
