Prototype Development Toolmaker Department: Engineering: Employment Type: Full Time: Location: Liberty, SC: Reporting To: Dewayne Dobbins: Description: The Prototype Development Toolmaker supports Product Development Engineering (PDE) by machining, modifying, and assembling high‑precision prototype components and tooling. This role requires strong interpretation of engineering drawings, sketches, and 3D models, along with hands‑on expertise in CNC and manual machining. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, safety‑conscious, self‑motivated, and capable of prioritizing work in a fast‑paced prototype environment. Key Responsibilities: - Read and interpret engineering drawings, sketches, GD&T, and 3D CAD models to produce prototype parts and tooling - Program, set up, and operate CNC machining equipment to manufacture precision components - Perform manual machining operations using mills, lathes, and grinders - Operate specialty equipment including water jet and wire EDM machines - Manufacture and modify prototype tooling, fixtures, and components to support engineering development and testing - Support low volume component machining to support initial product launch - Inspect parts...
