The Software Asset Management (SAM) Analyst is responsible for overseeing the organization’s software assets to ensure compliance, cost efficiency, and effective utilization. This role involves managing software licensing, optimizing software usage, and mitigating risks related to non-compliance. The role assists the SAM Manager in collaborating with IT Teams, procurement, and compliance teams to develop and enforce software asset management policies and processes. Key Responsibilities: Software Asset Management Strategy: - Implement and deliver against the defined SAM Strategy and aligned organizational goals. - Help to define and maintain policies, processes, and controls for managing software assets across the organization. - Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. Software Licensing and Compliance: - Monitor software license usage to ensure compliance with vendor agreements and prevent over- or under-licensing. - Manage/Support software audits, including coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders to provide necessary documentation. - Partner with SW Product Owners to track and renew software licenses, subsc...
