Job Description Special Services provides administrative oversight to social service programs directly operated or contracted programs with the Human Resources Administration. Special Services provides an array of services to New York City’s vulnerable population. The Special Services portfolio consists of the following program areas: Adult Protective Services (APS), Customized Assistance Services (CAS), Domestic Violence Services (DVS), HIV/AIDS Services Administration (HASA), Home Care Services Program (HCSP), and the Medical Assistance Program (MAP). The Special Services division of HRA is recruiting one (1) Director of Home Care Services, Family, & Adult Services (DOSS) to function as the Special Services Housing Advisor who will: Under executive management of the Executive Director and Chief Special Services Officer, with broad latitude for independent judgment and action, the Special Services Housing Advisor carries out the responsibility for making management improvements to Special Services housing and related social services programs.
