Position Title Epic Health Information Exchange Analyst Job Description: Purpose & Scope: The Epic Health Information Exchange (HIE) Analyst will serve as the primary contact in the development and functionality of the Epic system/applications enabling the secure exchange of patient information among the Virginia Hospital Center (VHC) community. The VHC community of care includes our patients, community physicians/providers, skilled nursing facilities, home health agencies, public health offices, Virginia state Health Information Exchange Connect Virginia, and other organizations deemed appropriate to receive patient information. The Epic applications used to facilitate this information exchange include Care Everywhere, EpicCare Link, and MyChart. Other technologies such as HISP and DIRECT messaging will also be used.This analyst position will develop these Epic application solutions by investigating processes to understand data and communication flows with individual tasks and transactions.
