Job Summary: The Heavy Equipment Mechanic performs a wide variety of mechanical repairs and maintenance services on gasoline and diesel-powered heavy equipment to maintain equipment in operational readiness. EDUCATION: High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience. EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of experience in maintenance and repair of heavy equipment involving diesel engines and/or hydraulic systems. LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS: Must have a Texas Driver's License with a good driving record. Must have a Texas Vehicle Inspection License. Must be able to obtain Texas A or B Commercial Driver's License during the probationary period or as required. Must be able to obtain EPA Section 609 (recovery of automotive refrigerants) License during the probationary period or as required.
