JOB DESCRIPTION: POSITION: CNC MACHINIST I: LOCATION: Chatsworth, CA: SHIFT: 6:15am–4:45pm (Monday through Thursday): Qualifications: BASIC FUNCTIONS: - Responsible for operating one or more types of computer numeric-controlled production equipment. CNC Machine Operation, Milling, Precision Machining - Ability to interpret Blueprints/Diagrams and Quality Requirements. - Monitoring - Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, work processes/products, company policy, and to make improvements or taking corrective action. - Selects appropriate settings and makes adjustments as necessary. Troubleshooting - Follows established quality and safety standards. - Basic understanding of machine tool clearances, fixture offsets, and cutting tool offsets. - Monitors machine operations and inspect machined parts to ensure job specifications are met. - Selects from a variety of standard methods to inspect intricate parts. - Highly organized individual with excellent communication skills. - Additional machining responsibilities as needed.
