Job Description Under the supervision of the RN, provides direct patient nursing care to adult and pediatric patients. Demonstrates clinical knowledge and judgment. Responsible for promoting positive interactions with staff, physicians, patients, families and other visitors. SHIFT AND SCHEDULE: Full Time: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS: - Assesses, projects and plans for patient care needs• Maintains current knowledge of medications and administers medication in accordance with policy• Makes appropriate decisions in collaboration with the RN• Demonstrates positive effective communication, including: o Communication and reinforcement of instructions with patients and families. o Communication with physicians and other health care team members’, positive, professional communication techniques. o Communicates changes in patient status to Clinical Manager or Charge Nurse/Team Leader.• Demonstrates proficiency in using the electronic medical record providing accurate, timely and complete documentation of patient care• Respects patient’s rights and confidentiality• Demonstrates age specific competency in caring for patients• Provides a safe environment fo...
