Respiratory Therapist - Bronchoscopy Lab -Supplemental

Job description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist in the bronch procedure space (Pulm Func Tech) functions independently or in collaboration with physicians or other health care providers. Performs all necessary tests related to the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary diseases to both inpatients and outpatients of all ages in compliance with the accepted professional, departmental, and hospital standards, while maintaining the daily operations of the hospital-based Mayo Procedural Space / Bronchoscopy Lab. Performs required tasks for Interventional Pulmonary / Bronchoscopy Procedure space, including but not limited to: Robotic Bronchoscopies, Tranplant Bronchoscopies, Inpatient Bronchoscopies, EBUS, and other Advanced Interventional Pulmonology procedures. Responsibilities include completing all necessary documentation, coordinating patient transport to and from procedure room, monitoring patient during procedure, preparing for and assisting with specimen retrieval, completing lab specimen forms, maintaining working knowledge of all bronchoscopy equipment, and other needs as necessary.
