The Opportunity: The Maintenance Aide performs semi-skilled maintenance duties related to electrical, heating, mechanical and plumbing systems and building equipment. The Maintenance Aide performs a variety of duties related to the general maintenance of the Long-Term Care residence and may assist with construction projects. What Is In It For You: - Responsible for the immediate repair of defective equipment affecting resident care (e.g. beds, chairs, etc.). If unable to repair, reports problem to the Environmental Services Manager. - Regulates and repairs taps, toilets, etc. Unstops taps and drains depending upon complexity of operations. - Responsible for conducting routine inspections of lighting. Repairs light fixtures and outlets, replaces bulbs, connects light fixtures to outlets, and replaces ballasts. - May be r...
