Summary Downgraded from approved FTE 1.0 - MA 30186 position to PRN PCT 50434 position. Candidate hired will graduate in May from MedQuest with MA diploma and will transfer into the MA position. Rate for MA 18.72/hourly once transferred. Job Description: Baptist Health Medical Group Patient Care Tech Ortho: Dutchmans Lane area: Full Time/First Shift: Eligible for SignOn Bonus: Sign-on bonus is reserved for new hires meeting eligibility criteria. The Medical Assistant provides direct patient care and clinical support within an outpatient clinic. Responsibilities include obtaining vital signs, reconciling medications, collecting patient history, and facilitating patient flow. Additional duties involve managing the electronic health record (EPIC), scheduling appointments, processing medication requests, handling prior authorizations, and coordinating tests and procedures. Upon successful completion of clinical competency, the role may also require performing EKGs, lab tests, injections, and/or phlebotomy.
