Lower School Associate Teacher: Preschool Program (Ages 3–4)

Job description

Location: New York,New York,United States Trevor Day School seeks full-time Associate Teachers for its Preschool Program (ages 3–4) for the 2026–2027 school year. Associate Teachers support Head Teachers in all aspects of classroom life and collaborate closely to advance Trevor’s mission, educational philosophy, and instructional practices. In this role, Associate Teachers develop their pedagogy and professional skills through mentorship with Head Teachers, collaboration with a cohort of peers, and guidance from school leadership. They also participate in ongoing professional development and targeted experiences designed to prepare them for future Head Teacher roles. Requirements: Previous experience working with children at the preschool and/or elementary level. Strong written and verbal communication skills. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; enrollment in or completion of a master’s degree program preferred. Job responsibilities include: Work closely with the head teacher to teach core subjects.
