Position Summary: The Senior Group Leader / Unit Head is responsible for leading a unit of campers ages 9–10 and supervising the counselors assigned to that group. This role helps create a safe, engaging, and inclusive camp environment while ensuring daily schedules, activities, and camper needs are managed effectively. The Unit Head serves as a role model for campers and staff, helping guide group leaders and counselors while supporting the camp’s mission and values. Key Responsibilities: Camper Leadership & Supervision Lead and supervise a group of campers ages 9–10 throughout the camp day. Ensure the safety, well-being, and positive experience of all campers. Build positive relationships with campers and encourage teamwork, respect, and inclusion. Help manage camper behavior using positive behavior management strategies. Staff Leadership: Supervise and support counselors assigned to the unit. Provide guidance, mentoring, and feedback to counselors to help them succeed in their roles.
