Reports to: Orthopedic Clinic Director FLSA Classification: Full-time, Non-exempt, Hourly $20.03 $23.00 Essential Functions: Education and Experience: - Current BLS required within six (6) months of employment or transfer. - Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, or EMT certification required. - Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. - Previous experience in a clinic setting preferred. - Assess, plan, delegate, implement, and evaluate patient care which includes: making pre-appointment calls to patients; working with referring physicians to ensure quality of patient care; obtaining vital signs and patient tracking information; obtaining appropriate information, specimens, lab results, etc. to prepare patient for the clinical provider; assisting physicians with procedures such as minor surgical procedures - Responsible for providing direct medical care in the scope of a Medical Assistant under the direction of the supervising RN and/or physician. - Operate and maintain appropriate orthopedic medical equipment. - Perform instrument cleaning and prepare for sterilization. - Document all treatments, procedures, document and provide patient education, and medication admini...
