Job description

Primary Scheduled Hours: Per Diem Job Summary: Obtain the safest and highest quality diagnostic Sonography exams for image documentation of anatomy and pathology for interpretation by a Radiologist per established guidelines and protocols. Essential Job Functions: - Performs high quality Sonography exams that are consistently approved by the Radiologist and performed to accepted protocol. - Performs various Sonography exams including, but not limited to abdomen, breast, renal, obstetric, gynecologic, thyroid, scrotal, venous doppler (extremities), limited venous arterial, prostate exams and assisting Radiologist with invasive Sonography procedures. - Selects appropriate equipment for use in ultrasound setup, following exam specifications. - Selects a transducer and adjusts the equipment controls according to the organ to be examined, the depth of field and other specifications of test. - Enters exam data and patient information into ultrasound equipment to maintain record of test results. - Moves transducer, by hand, over specified area of the body and observes sound wave display screen to monitor quality of ultrasonic pattern produced. - Produces images of internal organs and reco...
