Downer Rail and Transit Systems (RTS) has a fantastic opportunity for a Train Technician to join our Auburn facilities in NSW. We have 10-year contracts that will enable you to grow and develop a career in the rail industry. This Full time -12-month Fixed term role is a key component of Downer Rail's multi-skilled team and plays a critical role in the delivery and reliability of the Rollingstock at our Auburn facility. About the role: - The key responsibility of this role is to ensure that the service requirements are met and the trains enter service on time and defect free - whilst we are completing all necessary documentation to drive the Downer standard of work. - You will carry out defect rectification and routine maintenance on rolling stock. - 24/7 rotating shift roster based on an employee driven rotating roster. - this will enable you to plan in advance around hours that are split evenly across weekdays and weekends. - You will be required to complete 3 months training and development phase to ensure you are safe and technically comfortable with the work ahead. - This role will ensure you have a schedule of works that you will plan and ensure safe and efficient completion o...
