WHAT YOU'LL DO: Retool’s Built-In Resources—like Database, Storage, Email, AI, and more—give builders instant access to everything they need to build full applications, workflows, and agents, without waiting on setup or integration. That means users can go from idea to working product in just minutes. You’ll be the architect behind Retool’s core building blocks, turning complex infrastructure into instant, no-setup magic for builders. You’ll own things like strategy, roadmap, product evolution, and also explore potential monetization paths (such as usage-based overages) as part of the longer-term strategy.This role sits at the intersection of platform strategy and user experience. You’ll decide how each built-in—whether Database, Storage, or AI—works on its own, when it should connect tightly with other resources, and how all of them fit together to make the Retool platform seamless and powerful for builders. WHO YOU'll WORK WITH: You’ll work closely with a dedicated engineering pod within the Product Platform team and collaborate across the entire product surface, since built-ins touch almost every part of Retool.
