Overview: The purpose of the Coating Inspector is to provide inspection of contractor’s quality of work in accordance with the client’s policies and procedures as it relates to coating of steel pipe and fittings on pipeline construction projects. The Coating Inspector works under the direction of the Chief Inspector, who may assign additional responsibilities to the Inspector as needed. The Coating Inspector, at the direction of the Chief Inspector, may be asked to double as the Utility Inspector if qualified and within reason given scope of the project.
