Senior Operational Buyer

Job description

As a Senior Operational Buyer, you play a key role in ensuring a smooth, efficient, and high‑quality procurement process across your assigned purchasing categories. You manage the full Request‑to‑Pay (R2P) cycle and act as a trusted partner for both internal stakeholders and suppliers. With your experience, analytical mindset, and strong sense of ownership, you contribute to cost optimisation, reliable service delivery, and the continuous improvement of operational procurement activities. Your responsibilities Manage the entire operational purchasing process, from purchase request validation to order creation, follow‑up, issue handling, and change management. Ensure correct application of framework agreements and supply contracts, and identify optimization opportunities together with Category Buyers. Translate stakeholder needs into accurate, compliant, and timely purchase actions. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and monitor performance on quality, lead times, and service levels.
