Job description

Main areas of responsibility: Lead and oversee the material handlers within the team to ensure their reach their full potential by guiding, giving direction and providing training as and when required. Delegate material handling tasks and oversee the tasks in hand to ensure an efficient & effective material handling operation. Material Flow & Logistics: - Receive and Verify: Accurately receive, inspect, and verify incoming raw materials and finished components against purchase orders and packing slips. - Preparation and Delivery: Purge/detrash all excess packaging (e.g., plastic, wood, paper, cardboard) and safely transport materials, parts, and subassemblies to designated production drop zones and assembly stations using Munters-appropriate conveyancing equipment. - Line Replenishment (Kanban): Ensure all Kanban bins and designated points-of-use (POUs) on the assembly lines are continuously and accurately replenished to prevent production stoppages. - Area Clearance: Efficiently remove excess/obsolete materials, scrap, segregated waste, and finished products from the assembly areas, relocating them to designated inventory or shipping locations. - Organisation: Organise and store i...
