RESIDENTIAL FLEET TECHNICIAN: Solid Waste: Pay Range: $24.66/hr. - $35.77/hr. / $51,292.80 - $74,401.60 annually $1000.00 Sign on Bonus available. ** Internal candidates should apply via Polk One- Me Section ** Location: Polk County Landfill (10 Environmental Loop, Winter Haven, FL 33830 Employee Benefits: Must have the physical, developmental and mental ability to perform job tasks, work efforts, responsibilities and duties of the job illustrated below: ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES Skilled mechanical work at the journeyman level in the maintenance and repair of diesel and/or gasoline powered on and off highway equipment. Responsible for the entire maintenance spectrum including diagnosis, repair, and overhaul of rubber tired and tracked vehicles including those with hydraulically powered work mechanisms. Must troubleshoot, disassemble, repair and reassemble components of all sizes and types involving the mechanical operation of the vehicles/equipment described above. Performs preventive maintenance including oil and filter changes and lubrication. May change tires. Operates both arc and oxygen/acetylene welding equipment.
