Responsibilities: PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Operational: - Is responsible for effective management of services by delegating through assigned personnel. Evaluates daily care and delivery activities and makes operational changes as necessary to improve service performance. - Develops goals, objectives, policies and procedures which meet patient, departmental and hospital needs. - Develops and maintains systems and procedures to ensure efficient patient throughput. - Actively participates on hospital committees, which address clinical and operational issues. Provides input into hospital-wide policies that cross division lines. - Effectively modifies operations based on staffing utilization and productivity reporting. - Coordinates purchasing activities to ensure supply and equipment needs are met.
