Job Title: Adjunct Instructor of English Campus Location: Walters State Community College Job Purpose: T he purpose of this position is to teach developmental writing, freshman composition (including dual enrollment courses at local high schools), sophomore literature, special interest courses and independent study courses. Essential Job Functions: - Teach English courses offered primarily for conventional in-person classes with potential for some Hybrid or Desktop Video Courses through Microsoft Teams, Zoom or other technology. - Prepare course syllabi, course materials, evaluate student learning, and maintain class records. - Participate in curriculum development, student recruiting, advising, placement, and division/departmental meetings. - Complete goals and objectives for the individual, the department/division, and the college. - Complete educational outcome measures and academic reporting as required. - May perform other duties as assigned.
