Job description

Under minimal supervision, performs complex diagnostic Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures, as requested by a licensed physician. Produces high quality diagnostic images while providing excellent patient care. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned. MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited school of MRI PREFERRED EDUCATION: Associate's Degree in Allied Health or Bachelor's Degree and certification in another clinical imaging field Experience: MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 6 months in Magnetic Resonance Imaging with supervised clinical experience; Possesses working knowledge of cross section anatomy and MR pathology PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 2-5 years in MRI Certifications: REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiology or (ARMRIT) registry eligible according to ACR guidelines. Must be registered as a MR Technologist within one year post graduation of accredited school. If Registered with ARRT in ionizing radiation, must possess current Texas Medical Board (TMB) license.
