Position Summary: The Histotechnician plays a vital role in supporting the Mohs surgeon by ensuring accurate and efficient preparation of tissue specimens. This includes assisting with specimen grossing, tissue processing, embedding, cutting, staining, and maintaining a clean and well-functioning laboratory environment. This is a Second Shift position Essential Functions: To perform effectively in this role, the candidate must fulfill the following duties with or without reasonable accommodations: - Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of histology, laboratory procedures, and quality control standards. - Embed, cut, stain, and mount tissue specimens efficiently and in adherence to established policies, procedures, and laboratory standards. - Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with superiors, peers, physicians, and patients. - Maintain strong organizational abilities and proficiency in relevant computer applications.
