Job Description Summary This posting is for the Instrumentation Engineering Specialist position with the Performance Testing team in Gas Power. The Performance Test team executes highly technical services on many turbine/plant configurations (Gas, Steam, Combined Cycle, Wind) both in the field and remotely. The successful execution of these global services requires that the team adhere to internal processes while being open to challenges that may arise. Instrumentation Engineering Specialists are accountable for the quality of the data collected from customers’ power plants for both commercial and internal purposes. Job Description: Essential Responsibilities: - Provide hands-on support for thermal performance testing of steam and gas turbines at combined cycle power plants. While on site, the Instrumentation Engineering Specialist role is labor intensive - Execute or provide the technical direction for the installation of test instruments, to accurately measure the pressures, temperatures, flows, and kilowatt outputs required to calculate the thermal performance of the unit(s) or power plant - Support for Basic and Advanced Emissions testing at Power plants.
