Job Title: General Accounting Specialist Department: Accounting: Reports to: General Accounting Manager: Travel: Limited: Location: Flexible, hybrid: Job Summary: The General Accounting Specialist participates in the month-end financial close cycle for multiple ledgers, meeting strict deadlines. The role supports all GWS Tool locations by ensuring accuracy and integrity of the general ledger, bank accounts and other financial data shared with our stakeholders. Duties/Responsibilities: Performs month-end financial close for multiple ledgers and meets strict month end close and reporting deadlines. Participates in monthly OneStream reporting, ensures quality and timeliness . Reconciles cash entries daily and supports the monthly bank reconciliation. Prepares journal entries as needed, including prepaid amortizations, accruals, IFRS lease entries, calculating depreciation, allowance for bad debts , payroll . Prepares monthly account reconciliations. Assists with the fixed assets subledger and processes fixed assets transactions. Cr e ates, reviews and submits HST and Sales Tax returns.
